It is the policy of the Board of Trustees that a freshman student is one who has earned less than 30 semester hours of college credit. A sophomore student is one who has earned 30 or more semester hours of college credit. A full-time student is one who carries 12 or more credit hours during the fall and spring semesters or six or more credit hours during the summer semester. A part-time student is one who carries less than 12 credit hours in a given semester. A full-time student may enroll for a maximum of 18 credit hours during the fall or spring semesters or 9 hours in the summer.
