Shawnee Community College is thrilled to announce the launch of its highly anticipated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) Program, set to begin in the upcoming fall semester.

Shawnee Community College is thrilled to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our Spring 2024 semester honor students, who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and academic excellence.

Shawnee Community College hosted its annual pinning ceremony for the graduating class of licensed practical nursing students on Thursday evening.

Thirty-one men and women, a testament to our program’s growth, received a pin, bringing the total of LPNs to graduate from Shawnee to 1,810 since the program’s first graduation in 1970.

The English Department at Shawnee Community College has once again celebrated the works of young writers in our region.

The annual Celebrating Young Writers High School Writing contest features three categories: non-fiction, short fiction essay, and poetry. More than 100 students in grades nine through 12 submitted their work.

School will soon be out for summer, and Shawnee Community College in Ullin is once again offering kids camps for children around the region.

The Board of Trustees of Shawnee Community College held its monthly meeting on April 18, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. on the main campus via teleconference. Several agenda items were addressed during the meeting.

SCC Dean of Transfer and Adult Education, Dr. Kristin Shelby will take the helm and has hit the ground running to recruit players for the upcoming season, which begins in November.

Nearly 300 high school students from 16 area schools are expected to attend the upcoming Southern Illinois Future Teacher Coalition event on Thursday, March 21, from 8:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
