ULLIN, IL (April 1, 2026) — Shawnee Community College welcomed hundreds of students, job seekers, and community members to its 2026 Job and College Transfer Fair, creating meaningful connections between attendees and dozens of regional employers and transfer institutions.
Held on the College’s main campus in Ullin, the event brought together a wide range of businesses and colleges, all with a shared goal: to help individuals take the next step in their educational or career journey.
Attendees had the opportunity to explore immediate employment options, learn about career pathways, and connect directly with representatives from colleges and universities offering transfer opportunities. From local industries seeking reliable team members to four-year institutions eager to welcome Shawnee students, the event served as a hub for opportunity and advancement.
“This event is all about creating connections,” said Career Services Coordinator Blake Goforth. “Whether someone is entering the workforce, changing careers, or planning to continue their education, we’re proud to provide a space where those next steps can begin.”
The fair reflects Shawnee Community College’s ongoing commitment to supporting student success and strengthening the regional workforce. By bringing employers and transfer partners directly to campus, the College continues to empower learners while enriching the communities it serves.
