BLS CPR Training

Intended for healthcare professionals who provide healthcare to patients in a wide variety of settings, including in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings. Students are taught CPR skills for victims of all ages, ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device, and oxygen, use of an AED, and relief of FBAO.

Cost per student is $75.

Grant Writing

This 8-hour in-person workshop is designed to provide a practical, step-by-step overview of the grant writing process for individuals and organizations seeking funding opportunities. Participants will learn how to identify potential grant sources, understand funder expectations, and develop compelling proposals that align with their organization’s mission and objectives.

Topics will include writing effective narratives, setting clear goals and measurable outcomes, creating realistic budgets, and understanding post-award responsibilities. The session will include interactive exercises, real-world examples, and helpful templates that participants can immediately apply to future grant submissions.

Cost per student is $49.

Communication Strategies for Diverse Abilities

This engaging one-day class is designed to help individuals and businesses develop effective communication skills for interacting with people of all abilities. Participants will gain introductory experience in American Sign Language (ASL), learn practical techniques for communicating with individuals who are Deaf or hard of hearing, and explore respectful approaches for engaging with those who have intellectual or physical disabilities.
Whether you are a business owner, frontline employee, educator, healthcare worker, or community member, this training will provide you with valuable tools to create more inclusive, welcoming, and accessible environments. Investing in these strategies not only enhances customer service—it strengthens community connections and demonstrates a genuine commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Cost per student is $25.

FOS-0121 Certified Food Protection Manager

This course is a study of the principles involved in maintaining sanitary standards to protect the consumer from food-borne illness in food service establishments.

One main objective is to enable the student to pass the National Serv Safe Exam.

Cost per student is $70.

Hunter Safety

August 1, 2025 @ 6:30PM to 9PM and August 2, 2025, 8:30AM to 4:30PM.

Course will be held at the First Pentecostal Church in Goreville, IL, located at 915 N Broadway, Goreville, IL. Hunters will need to bring a lunch for the August 3rd class. Hunters will need to pre-register online in order to attend.

This course is free of charge.

Highway Construction Careers Training Program (HCCTP)

In collaboration with the Federal Highway Administration, the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) initiated a Highway Construction Careers Training Program (HCCTP) in late 2009, in an effort to increase access to highway construction jobs for minorities, women and disadvantaged individuals.

Illinois SBDC Workshops

The Illinois Small Business Development Center provides assistance to small businesses with start-up, expansion, business and marketing plan assistance, accessing financing opportunities, and a variety of seminars and workshops.
