SUMMARY

 

The Director of Recruitment & Enrollment develops, administers, supervises, and directs student recruitment and enrollment programs and services for the college.  This position supervises the following areas:  Recruitment, Admissions, Registrar, Advising, Advisor/Counselor, Financial Aid and Student Services Administrative Assistant. The Director demonstrates a commitment to student success, diversity, service excellence, innovation, and collaboration leading the department by promoting the College’s strategic plan and key performance measures.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

 

·         Develops, implements and monitors outcomes of enrollment management strategies including an annual enrollment management plan.

 

·         Researches best practices and directs all recruitment efforts both on-site and off-site including all communications with new and prospective students, documentation and analyses of recruitment methods.

 

·         Collaborate with Academic Affairs to promote existing and potential programs of study.

 

·         Collaborate with the other student affairs teams and Academic Affairs to recommend, monitor, update, and implement placement testing and multiple measures.

 

·         Maintain up-to-date skill set for the College’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system ensuring use to the fullest potential and take a leadership role in research, recommendation and implementation of additional modules and software integration.

 

·         Leads the College’s efforts to maintain accurate and up-to-date physical and electronic student files.

 

·         Collaborate with the Institutional Effectiveness to determine and collect statistical information on students according to key performance measures and measures of success.

 

·         Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations such as FERPA, Drug-Free Schools, Financial Aid, and Mental Health Act.

 

·         Provide updates to strategic plan, key performance measures and measures of success quarterly and monthly submissions for the board.

 

·         Provide oversight for enrollment processes for international students.

 

·         Research, implement and monitor advisement practices that lead to student goal completion.

 

·         Create and update an advisement training manual including online registration.

 

·         Provide training to new and continuing Recruiters and Advisors where all students are receiving the same information.

 

 

 

·         Assists with the understanding, promotion and utilization of articulation agreements with other institutions.

 

·         Prepares and monitors budgets and oversees budget expenditures for recruitment and enrollment.

 

·         Assists with the creation and updates of the Student Handbook.

 

·         Assist the Advisor/School Counselor with campus Alcohol & Drug Education and Mental Health planning and programming.

 

·         Collaborate with the other student affairs teams and Academic Affairs to recommend, monitor, update, and implement placement testing and multiple measures.

 

·         Collaborates with other student affairs teams and Academic Affairs on student recruitment and enrollment activities.

 

·         Perform other related duties which may be required by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

·         Bachelor’s Degree Required. Master’s Degree preferred.

·         Must have five years in Higher Education, preferably community college experience.

·         Academic counseling experience is strongly preferred; experience in Guided Pathway implementation preferred.

·         Ability to understand and master the College’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

·         Ability to work well in a multi-cultural environment.

·         Ability to communicate in written or oral form.

·         Basic computer skills are essential.
