Shawnee’s Tempo is a student newspaper
published four times per semester. Students
select, write, edit and layout stories for the college newspaper with the aid
of a journalism advisor. The Tempo
maintains a newsroom and photo lab on the Main Campus. The College Foundation makes available three
full-time scholarships for Tempo staffers that cover tuition, fees and book
loans. Students must be residents of the
college district with solid writing skills and an interest in journalism to
qualify for the scholarships.
