Student Support Services (S.S.S.)
is a federally funded program designed to help and motivate students while at Shawnee Community College (SCC) toward the successful completion of their postsecondary education. The purpose of the program is to assist SCC students with graduating and transferring to a four-year college or university while providing programs and resources for a successful academic and overall positive college experience.

Eligibility Requirements
Students interested in the program must meet the initial eligibility requirements to qualify for an interview.
The requirements below are from the U.S. Department of Education and interested applicants must meet at least one of the criteria listed below:
First Generation: Neither parent has graduated from a four-year college or university
Income Eligible: Income does not exceed levels that have been set by the federal government (this information is verified through the Financial Aid Office at Shawnee Community College)
Disability: Documented physical or learning disability

New students are accepted into the program during both the Fall and Spring semesters. Some of the services offered to students include:
