Laptop Computer Checkout Policy
The Student Support Services Program has Laptop Computers that may be checked out free for up to seven (7) nights at a time. The pick up time is between 8:30 am and 2:30 p.m. (appointments required) Monday through Friday and must be checked in by 12:00 noon on the 7th day. If the computer is turned in after 12:00 noon, you will be charged a $5.00 late fee for each day late. You may be restricted from checking out a computer for the remainder of the term or the following term if there are abuses to the check out policy.
WEEKLY CHECKOUT
- The Student Support Services has technology equipment that may be checked out once a $5.00 deposit is provided.
- There will be absolutely no loading of programs.
- You will be able to check-out the computer for up to seven (7) days at a time. The pick up time is between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
- Students must return the laptop by 12 noon on the 7th day. They may recheck out the laptop if there is no waiting. If there is a waiting list, then they will have to wait until one is available.
- If the laptop is turned in after 12 noon, your $5.00 deposit will be kept as a late fee.
- On the eighth day, if the equipment is not turned in, it will be billed to your bursar's bill/account.
SEMESTER CHECKOUT
- A student must have medical documentation (on official letterhead from doctor) that he or she has limited mobility and is unable to use the computer services on campus.
- Student must bring laptop in for updated services every month.
- Must pay $5.00 deposit
- By the Friday of finals week, if the equipment is not turned in, it will be billed to your bursar's bill/account.
Any problems with the computer or accessories must be reported to Tamra Wright immediately. You will be restricted from checking out equipment for the remainder of the term. No type of computer programs or software may be downloaded on this equipment and do not save to the hard drive. DO NOT EAT OR DRINK WHILE USING THIS EQUIPMENT!!!!!!!!!!!
The student who checks out this equipment is responsible for the computer at all times. The student will be responsible for replacement of all damaged, lost, or stolen computer and/or accessories/parts. This excludes normal wear and tear.
