Shawnee Community College policy requires entrance assessment testing.
Students living near the college campus should make arrangements to take the COMPASS or ASSET at the main campus or one of the regional extension centers.
Students not living near the college district will need to contact their local community college and arrange to take that college’s assessment test. Once completed, the testing officer should forward an official copy of the test results to the address below.
Shawnee Community College will follow the minimum scores as per our college policy. If the student takes a placement test at a location other than Shawnee College, and that college does not administer COMPASS or ASSET testing, SCC will acknowledge the minimum scores required of the college where the test was taken. Therefore, the testing officer will need to enclose a copy of that college’s minimum score policy.
