William strives to be a good steward of the trust and responsibility that has been imparted to him.
Marketing Coordinator, Emily Elliott asked William about his experience at Shawnee Community College's Commencement Ceremony and he stated, "Let me again extend a heartfelt congratulations to the Class of 2015 for achieving such an important milestone in their lives. I once experienced the same joy and contentment as well. The world although full of challenges is also abound with opportunities that is awaiting you. Accepting the SCC Alumnus of the Year award was a humbling moment for me and I am deeply thankful to the members of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Tim Bellamey, and the faculty and staff of Shawnee Community College for this recognition. The commencement reception and ceremony was truly memorable because of the warm embrace and welcome I received from the time I walked through the doors. I marveled at the expansion of the facilities and the new design at SCC, which truly puts the students first. The huge turnout of family, friends, faculty and staff for commencement is a testament to the community and how much of a premium is placed on education. It is evident that Shawnee Community College continues to place a premium on the students and their college experience. I encourage anyone in the surrounding community who is thinking about a two-year college to strongly consider Shawnee."
