Hydrotherapy and Aromatherapy Workshops at SCC Anna Extension Center

The Shawnee Community College Anna Extension Center will host two workshops on Monday, May 1. Both workshops will be taught by Andra Falhberg, SCC Massage Therapy Program instructor. In the first workshop, Hydrotherapy, learn how to use hot and cold water for therapeutic purposes. The workshop includes information on when it is appropriate to use heat and cold and when not to use them. Proper methods of application will also be discussed and handouts will be provided. The Hydrotherapy workshop will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The cost of the workshop is $10, payable to the instructor.

From 7 to 8 p.m. the Aromatherapy workshop provides participants information on the ancient healing practice: what it is, how to do it properly and precautions for its use. The affect of specific essential oils will also be discussed. Handouts and information for purchasing quality products will be provided. The cost of the workshop is $10, payable to the instructor.

Andra Fahlberg is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. Fahlberg holds a Masters in Business Administration, with more than 21 years teaching experience. Pre-registration is required.
