Summer Worshops for Teachers

Area teachers needing some extra CPDUs can visit Shawnee Community College this summer to attend a series of workshops totaling 45 CPDUs. Participants may register for one, two or all three sessions for a cost of $60 per session. "Issues and Trends in Education" will be taught by Jennifer Osman. Many interesting outside speakers will share their views of issues and trends in education. Speakers include local and state government officials, as well as local superintendents and members of the Illinois State Board of Education. SEM 210 will be July 17- 21, SEM 211 will be July 24-27, and SEM 212 will be July 31-Aug. 3. All sessions are worth one credit hour, and will be held from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in room C19 at the Anna Extension Center.
