SCC to Offer Summer School Classes for High School Credit Recovery

Sometimes high school students need to make up lost credit in order to graduate. For the fifteenth consecutive summer, Shawnee Community College will offer credit recovery classes in English, math, social studies, and science.
Courses are available in two separate sessions. The first session begins on June 16 and ends July 3. The second session will begin July 7 and ends July 25. The first or second semester of a course may be taken during either session, with a student being able to earn 1/2 credit per session. No more than one class may be taken during a given session.
Orientation will be held on the first day of each session at 8:30 a.m. in the SCC Educational Center on the Main Campus near Ullin. Both summer sessions will meet Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Classes be located on the main campus and rustic campus.
