Shawnee Community College is offering the course Issues and Trends in Education, worth 45 CPDUs, for area educators. The course will be offered at Goreville High School over three short weekends, June 2 and 3; June 9 and 10, and June 15 and 16. In three two-day sessions you will earn three credit hours and 45 CPDUs. Each weekend session will meet Friday 3 to 9 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Limited seats available. Early registration recommended.
    Issues and Trends in Education will cover currents topics and trends that educators encounter today. The course will be taught in a casual atmosphere by instructor Debbie Fox. Area educators will enjoy guest speakers, small group discussions and small group projects.
