Summer Workshops for Teachers

Area teachers needing some extra CPDUs can visit Shawnee Community College this summer to attend a variety of classes. The following workshops are geared toward teachers:

June 7th - Podcasting -Time: 9-2 p.m. - Marsha Nodeen - 5 CPDUs -Prek-12-Location T.B.A. $40.00
June 14th - Smart Board Training - Time: 9-12 - Russ Stoup - 3 CPDUs - All Levels - Location: Library $25.00
June 21st - Theme Bags And Substitute Prep. - Gay Tucker - Time: 9 a.m. to noon - 3 CPDUs - Pre-K-5 - Location T.B.A. $25.00
June 23rd - Internet Workshop -Time: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. - Marsha Nodeen - 5 CPDUs - All Levels - Metro. Center $40.00
June 30th - Music Across The Curriculum - Time: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. - Marsha Nodeen - 5 CPDUs - All Levels - Location T.B.A. $40.00

Also available at SCC this summer is a series of workshops totaling 45 CPDUs. Participants may register for one, two or all three sessions for a cost of $60 per session. "Issues And Trends In Education" will be taught by Jennifer Osman. SEM 210 will be July 17- 21, SEM 211 will be July 24-27, and SEM 212 will be July 31-Aug. 3. All sessions are worth one credit hour, and will be held from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in room C19 at the Anna Extension Center.
