Saints Basketball Signs Two Local Recruits

Ethan Stringer has recently signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at Shawnee Community college in Ullin, Illinois. Ethan is the son of David and Laura Stringer and Carla and Terry Huffman. He is currently a senior at Century High School. He has a 15.6 ppg, 5.3 rebpg, 3.2 apg, 74% ft and 1,182 career points. Ethan plans to get a degree in education and become a high school basketball coach.

Jonathan Pengress has also recently signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at Shawnee. Jonathan is the son of Robin and Kathy Pengress. Jonathan is currently a freshman at Shawnee Community College in Ullin. He is an AJCHS graduate class of 2007. He was a scholar athlete in '06 and '07, Who's Who of American High School Students '05, '06, and '07, Mu Alpha Theta member '07, basketball and football player '04- '07, and track runner '06 and '07. At SCC, Jonathan is currently working toward an Associate of Science degree.
