Saints Player Signs to Columbia College
Shawnee Community College's Saints Basketball player, Dwaun Stewart, has just signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at Columbia College in Columbia, Missouri.
Dwaun is a Chicago, Illinois native and has played on SCC's Saints team for two years as the shooting/point guard. Stewart was very active at SCC with Student Support Services (SSS) and playing for the SCC Saints. He is the son of Dwayne Stewart and Choyia Luttrell. The Columbia College Cougars are in the American Midwest Conference.
Dwaun's stats at SCC were outstanding. He averaged 11.1 points per game, 4.5 rebounds per game, 2.6 assists per game, and his overall field goal percentage was 40.4%.
Coach John Sparks stated, "Dwaun has really developed during his time here at Shawnee and he will be greatly missed. His leadership and toughness will be hard to replace. He has a bright future and we are extremely excited for him and his family."
Dwaun's career goals are to graduate with his Bachelor's degree in Business Management and then start his career.
