BSN Offered
at SCC Through McKendree College
5/10/06
Shawnee Community College recently signed an agreement
with McKendree College to offer a Bachelor of Science in Nursing on the SCC
Main Campus beginning this fall. The program is open to those with an ADN
or Diploma in Nursing with a 2.0 GPA and an active RN license.
The BSN degree is offered exclusively as a baccalaureate
completion program for graduates of associate degree or diploma nursing programs.
Nursing majors are prepared as generalists in nursing practice. The curriculum
enhances registered nurses' previous education and enables them to be flexible
ractitioners in a dynamic health care environment.
Fall semester classes will be taught on Tuesdays on the
SCC main campus. Those interested should contact Kim Eichelberger at 537-6411
or kaeichelberger@mckendree.edu for more information.
