Shannon Woodworth, SCC Assistant to the President welcomes area seniors to the annual Senior Fest hosted by Shawnee Community College. Over 260 senior citizens gathered at the college for a Friday filled with music, food and activities. The annual event is sponsored by Southern Pride Senior Program which serves senior citizens in Alexander, Johnson, Massac and Pulaski counties. Shawnee Community College offers senior citizens a variety of academic and personal development classes, most at no cost to residents age 60 and over.
