SCC Hosts School Supply Drive

Once again, the Shawnee Community College Future Teachers Organization is collecting school supplies for area children. Last year school supplies were delivered to 13 schools.

Members of the organization collect supplies from students, faculty, staff, and the community. "In this economy there are more children than ever that will show up for the first day of school without the supplies they need to start the year off successfully," said Sharon Walker, education instructor at SCC and faculty sponsor of the Future Teachers Organization. "This is just one of the things we do to help promote education."

Supplies can be dropped off in Walker's office, J1010, located on the main campus.

The FTO helps members make a seamless transition to the universities.
