SAINTS READ AT CYPRESS ELEMENTARY

Shawnee Community College athletes and Future Teachers Organization members visited Mrs. Mustain’s 1st Grade at Cypress Elementary in February. SCC students read to several classes and spoke about the importance of reading well to succeed in school and in life. The students serve as role models to youth as they visit schools throughout the SCC area, encouraging the elementary students to take part in the Saints Read literacy program sponsored by SCC each year.
