Shawnee to Help LPNs Advance their Education

ULLIN - Working LPNs now have the opportunity to become RNs through an online course at Shawnee Community College. But enrollment is limited.

"The online course is designed not to disrupt the jobs and lives that working LPNs already have," said Carol Belt, nursing instructor at Shawnee Community College.

The college, however, is only accepting 10 students during the upcoming fall semester. Belt encourages anyone interested to contact her immediately.

The online course offered at Shawnee Community College is part of the Southern Illinois Online Nursing Initiative also offered with limited enrollment at other community colleges in the region.
