Shawnee's LPN Program Ranked #1
Shawnee Community College's LPN program is the #1 ranked offering in Illinois for state approved programs based on first time NCLEX-PN passer rates. The NCLEX (National Council Licensure Examination) is an examination for the licensing of nurses in the United States.
SCC's LPN program is also ranked in the top 1% statewide based on first time NCLEX-PN passer rates. This program has reached its eighth year of 100% pass rate for NCLEX-PN.

The practical nursing program at SCC prepares individuals with the knowledge and skills to provide nursing care to children and adults. Admission to the program is competitive among qualified applicants and there is a limited application period and exact admissions criteria are revised and updated annually. The application process for the fall semester 2015 will begin September 1 of this year.
