SCC Offers Free GED Classes

Shawnee Community College is offering free GED classes for the fall 2008 semester. Classes will begin Monday, August 18 and Tuesday, August 19 and last eight weeks. All classes are open entry/open exit, and students may enroll any day or night that class is held. For more information, contact James Darden at 618-634-3222.

SCC is also offering English-Second Language Classes in Cobden at the Technology Learning Center, 111 South Appleknocker Drive. The class will run from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Federal Funds in the amount of $62,488 provide 32% of the funding for this program.
