Enroll Now for Free GED Classes 9/15/08
Thinking about your GED? Think you have to wait until 2009 to start on the road to your GED? Think again! Shawnee Community College offers free GED classes at various locations throughout the district with an open entry policy. Students may enroll any day or night that class is in session. The Shawnee Community College GED Program offers assistance to students in acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary to pass the GED examination for a high school equivalency diploma. SCC GED classes offer individualized instruction in English, social studies, science, mathematics and the United States and Illinois constitutions.

SCC is also offering English-Second Language Classes in Cobden at the Technology Learning Center, 111 South Appleknocker Drive. The class will run from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Federal Funds in the amount of $62,488 provide 32% of the funding for this program.
