Foundation Raffles Plasma TV

The Shawnee Community College Foundation recently announced the winner of fall fundraiser raffle. The Foundation sold raffle tickets throughout the fall semester for a 42” Samsung Plasma television. The tickets sold for $20 for one, $50 for three, and $100 for seven.

The winner of the raffle was John Wallace (shown left) of Golconda. He purchased three raffle tickets to increase his odds. All proceeds will go toward student scholarships at the college. SCC Foundation Director Jeff Wiggs was pleased with the results of the raffle. “We are always trying new ways to raise funds for student scholarships, and this was just one more way to help another student succeed in college.”
