Community Education Cooking Classes at SCC

Do you have trouble making smooth, perfect gravy? What about perfect pie crusts? Need to plan, prepare, assemble and serve delicious gourmet meals? SCC is offering a series of cooking classes designed to share techniques and tricks to perfect your kitchen skills.

Make Great Gravy will be on Monday, April 24 from 6 to 9 p.m. in the SCC main campus cafeteria. Connie Lowery will share secrets to making milk gravy and brown gravy. Bonnie Sullivan will present Perfect Pie Crusts on Tuesday, April 25 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Pulaski County Business Center, 3030 Enterprise Lane in Mounds. Gourmet Cooking will be offered on Tuesday, May 9 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Pulaski County Business Center, 3030 Enterprise Lane in Mounds.

Classes are $15 each and include all materials and ingredients. The classes are part of the college's community education program. Pre-registration is required. To pre-register and for more information, contact Jean Ellen Boyd at 618-634-3240.
