Carefree Highway Concert September 20

Shawnee Community College will host a Carefree Highway Band concert on Saturday, September 20 beginning at 7 p.m. in the Educational Center. All seats are $5 and the doors open at 6:30 p.m.

The Carefree Highway Band is a western Kentucky bluegrass group with outstanding vocals and instrumentation. Whether on the concert stage, festivals, or strolling entertainment, they are a listening pleasure for all age groups. The members of The Carefree Highway Band are from various parts of the country and have come together to offer unique, well-rounded and professional performances. Acoustic music is their forte, blending traditional and contemporary bluegrass, acoustic country with standard American music and original songs. The result is an energetic, contemporary sound with a wide variety in their repertoire.

The members of The Carefree Highway Band have established reputations in the music world, winning many individual musical awards. Together they offer more than 85 years of professional experiences.
