18th Annual SCC Car Show a Success

Bright skies dominated the 18th Annual Shawnee Community College Car Show on Sunday, May 4th. One hundred ninety vehicles entered the show. Over thirty car clubs participated. Wild Horse Mustang Club from West Paducah took the club award with 11 entries. One hundred forty-four class trophies were presented along with 17 best of show awards. Over 900 visitors toured the campus, enjoying the spectacular vehicles SCC Car Show awarded seven five-year participation awards, one ten-year participation award and one 15-year participation award for continued attendance.

Among the first place winners in their respective divisions were Chad Vaughn of Vienna for his 2008 Ford Mustang GT; Sam and Shirley Eaves of Vienna for their 1973 Dodge Challenger; Richard Ralls of Anna for his 1969 Chevy Z28 Camaro; Cory Queen of Metropolis for his 2002 Hyundai Accent GL; Steve Powell of Mound City for his 1967 Chevy C/10 pickup; David Malone of Villa Ridge for his 1980 Pontiac Transam; and Lonne and Yvonne Henderson of Cairo for their 1949 Chevy Pickup.
