SCC Community Easter Cantata

The Shawnee College Concert Choir and volunteer choir members from our community will come together and present the Easter praise and worship cantata titled "Redemption-The Power of the Cross" by Travis Cottrell. Performances will be held on April 14 and 15 at 7 p.m. in the Shawnee College Educational Center.

This year's performance is an upbeat celebration of the Easter season featuring a live band, more than 100 voices, soloists, worship team, video media and drama. "I'm very excited about this year's production," said John Windings, music director at Shawnee College. "We will be bringing back some SCC Music Alumni to help out. Jared Shumaker, Music Director at Vienna High School will assist me as choral conductor, Sheena Neely, Katie Miller and Crystal Houseman will be the worship team along with Deidra Coleson as a featured soloist. Along with this year's SCC Choir it will be a performance that no one will want to miss."

Admission for the Friday and Saturday performance is free but a donation of food item would be appreciated. Boys Scout Troop 7070 from Olmsted will be in charge of collecting these items to donate to a local food pantry. For more information, contact John Windings at 618-634-3206.
