Board of Trustees Meeting
June 13, 2006
Scholarship
Program Enhanced at SCC
Due to the increased cost of higher education,
Shawnee Community College is developing additional opportunities to reward
excellence in students. One of these rewards will be given at the college's
first Scholarship Dinner, planned for August 3, 2006. The dinner will honor
all scholarship students for the 2006-2007 school year. Beginning this fall,
a new laptop computer will be given to the Valedictorian Scholarship recipients
for the 2006-2007 academic year. In addition to full tuition, lab fees, student
service fees, and textbooks, these students will be issued a laptop for use
while enrolled as a student at SCC.
