Black Diamond Harley-Davidson Scholarships Awarded

Black Diamond Harley-Davidson in Marion donated $45,000 for scholarships to high school students in southern Illinois; $6,000 goes for scholarships to high school students in the Shawnee Community College District. Here Guy Alongi, chairman of the Illinois Community College Board; Rodney Cabaness, co-owner of Black Diamond; Dr. Larry Peterson, SCC President; and Gary Forby, Illinois State Senator, congratulate Century High School senior, Renee Sauerbrunn. Renee, a SCC escrow student, will receive $500 through the Black Diamond Harley-Davidson scholarship along with a matching $500 from SCC.

Other scholarship recipients from the Shawnee Community College district were Shelbi Morrison, Cobden; Justin Burton, Anna-Jonesboro; Meghan Bishop, Goreville; April Matlock, Shawnee; Courtney Hudson, Meridian; Chelsea Lyn McGinnis, Massac County; Sierra Saunders, Vienna; Jacqeline Hacker, Egyptian; and Richard Sharp, Joppa.
