Saints Host Annual Basketball Summer Camp

SCC mascot Bernard joins Coach Sparks each year at Fun-Da-Mental Basketball Camp awards program.

Shawnee Community College is hosting the John Sparks Fun-Da-Mental Basketball Camp June 7th - 10th from 8 a.m. to noon. The four-day camp will be in the Edward M. Smith Gymnasium located on the main campus near Ullin.

The camp will emphasize team work, fundamentals, and hard work, while having fun. Fundamental skill development for each camper will also be focused on during the entire week. Individual instruction and competitive drills will be given on a daily basis to all campers. Campers, boys & girls, will have fun while being drilled in shooting, passing, dribbling, defense, and a variety of competitive games.

Participants will play 3-on-3, Hot Shot and Black-top Battles to hone their skills. The cost is $40 per camper which pays for the cost of the camp and includes a free t-shirt. All campers should bring a change of shorts, t-shirt, basketball shoes and snack money. Members of the Shawnee Saints basketball team will assist Coach Sparks throughout the camp.
