Alumni Association Raffles Grill

The Shawnee Community College Alumni Association recently announced the winner of their raffle-fundraiser. The association was raffling a $500 gas grill, purchased from Lowes in Carbondale, Il. Midwest Real Estate of Vienna donated half the cost of the grill and the Alumni Association paid the rest. The raffle tickets sold for either $5 a piece or 3 for $10. The Alumni Association was able to sell approximately 400 tickets, raising close to $1,300.00. All proceeds will go toward book scholarships at SCC.

The Alumni Association is continually looking for new members. Lifetime membership fee is $10. To join the SCC Alumni Association, contact Faith Crim or Jeff Wiggs at 618-634-3200.
