Shawnee Adds Depth with Chad Bernard

Chad Bernard, a 6'5" 205 lb. freshman from Craigmont High School, has signed his letter of intent to play basketball for Shawnee Community College. Coach John Sparks was able to find yet another physical athlete who can come in and contribute immediately. Chad played in the tough city league of Memphis, TN where he competed against some of the more talented players in the South.

Coach Sparks is definitely excited about this addition. "Chad is a big strong athlete that we can play at three positions," Coach Sparks said. "I love guys that can guard three positions, run the floor, rebound, and finish above the rim. Chad is a guy that can do all of these things. I hope that Chad can step in as a freshman and be our enforcer. We are excited about Chad, but more excited about developing him as a total player."
