EEI Donates $1000

To show support for educational excellence in the SCC service area, Electric Energy Incorporated donated $1000 to the Shawnee Community College GEAR UP program. The donation will help provide scholarships for students of Cairo, Century, Egyptian, and Meridian High Schools to attend Shawnee Community College. EEI also committed to hosting plant tours, career days, student luncheons, guest speakers, and providing company literature.

GEAR UP is an acronym for Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs. The new GEAR UP grant application requires a dollar-for-dollar match in order to be eligible for federal funding.
