Student Trustee Elected

Dana Cross, of Cairo, was elected the SCC Student Trustee for the 2005-2006 school year. As student trustee, Cross will perform duties such as attending all Board of Trustees functions, traveling to Washington D.C. to lobby important issues for the college, and serving on Student Senate. Dana is involved in Student Senate and is a student ambassador.

Responsibilities of the Student Trustee include participation in all Board functions, including serving on Board committees, offering and seconding motions, attending executive sessions, and performing all other acts of a non-student member.

The Student Trustee must be a full-time student with an overall grade point average of 2.0, and be in good standing with the college.
