Art Student Awarded Scholarship

Shawnee Community College Escrow student Kristina Hooks recently won several awards for her artistic talent. At the Illinois Beta Club Convention, she won first place in Onsite Drawing Competition and Graphic Design, second place in Painting, and third place in Mixed Media and Sculpture. Kristina also won Honorable Mention at the SCC High School Competition March 22.

Kristina is a senior at Century High School, currently taking escrow classes at SCC, and plans to attend SCC in the fall. She was also awarded a full scholarship by the art department.
