PBL Students Attend Conference

The Nu Alpha Alpha SCC Chapter of Phi Beta Lambda Business organization members and adviser attended the PBL State Leadership Conference in Collinsville, Friday, April 8 and Saturday, April 9.

Members competed in various written, performance, and team competitions against other state PBL members throughout Illinois and Indiana. In addition, members participated in workshops dealing with stress management, interviewing skills and techniques, and providing excellent customer service.

Vickie Morton placed first in Java Programming and second in Visual Basic programming and is eligible to compete at the national level in these events. Also, Nancy Maxwell and Vickie Morton placed third in the Desktop Publishing event where they created an order form and flyer for a printing company. The National Phi Beta Lambda Conference is slated for June 29 through July 3 in Orlando, Florida.
