Saints came out looking to rebound off Friday nights performance. The Saints took an early led and continued to increase the lead little by little. At the half the Saints led 53 to 34. Lewis and Williams led the way offensively as it seemed like they could not miss. The second half faired no better for the Crusaders of Spoon River as Martavious Williams and the Saints just pushed the lead over 30 points. “Martavious really played well. I thought he dominated on both ends of the floor, but he had some help from his teammates as well. Darius and Mario had outstanding games shooting the ball and attacking the glass. We really shared the basketball this afternoon and we executed offensively. This was definitely a good win on the road against a team like Spoon River who shoots the three the way the do. I know they play well at home so we knew we could not take them lightly.” Coach Sparks commented.
