SCC Offers Cheer and Dance Camp

Students from grades kindergarten to sixth are invited to participate in a Cheer and Dance Camp at Shawnee Community College on Monday, February 20 from 9 a.m. until noon. The event is sponsored by the SCC Spirit Squad. The camp fee of $15 includes a set of pom-poms and instruction from the college team members.

Participants will perform with the SCC Spirit Squad at the Women's homecoming game on Saturday, February 25. Game time is at 1 p.m. Early registrants receive SCC mega-phones. For registration information, contact Dishona Wright at 618-697-0941 or Lou Basler at 618-833-3399.

Each academic year, SCC awards fifteen full scholarships for spirit squad members. Eligible recipients must be a resident of the SCC district and compete in Spirit Squad tryouts. The scholarship includes in-district tuition, fees and book loan. The scholarship application deadline is March 1.
