SCC Alternative High School
The
Shawnee Community College Adult Education Program Alternative High School
program will begin the spring semester on Tuesday, January 3. The college
provides three sites throughout the district for the student's convenience.
Classes meet on Shawnee College's Rustic Campus, at the Spence Community
Center in Metropolis, and at the Anna Extension Center.
The program helps students get back on track to graduate or to help students
who have dropped out of school resume their education. Both electives and
core classes, including English, mathematics, science, and social studies
are available. There is no cost to the students. A referral is required
from the student's local school district.
Consult your local guidance counselor or contact Dave Smith, Alternative
High School Supervisor, at 618-481-2242, extension 3319.
