Lincoln Defeats Shawnee In First Conference Game
Lincoln came out of the gate rolling, starting with a 10-0 run. Their size and length game the Saints problems the entire first half as Lincoln blocked several shots in the first ten minutes. Lincoln continued to pull away as the Saints couldn't get any stops and they couldn't score.
Lincoln led 47 - 33 at half time and never looked back. Lincoln continued to shoot the ball well from behind the arc in the second half. "You can't win any games if you give up nearly fifty points in the firs half." Coach Sparks commented.
Lincoln finished the game connecting on ten three pointers and shooting over 76% from the free-throw line. The Saints shot a miserable 54% from the free-throw line and only connected on five three point field goals. Lincoln had five players to score in double figures.
"Lincoln played well on both ends of the floor. We have some thing we need to work on so we will continue to work and continue to improve. That's all we can do." Coach Sparks commented.
