SCC's Beauty and the Beast Tickets On Sale

The Shawnee Community College Performing Arts Center presents the 17th Annual Fall Children's Theatre production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast with music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman & Tim Rice and book by Linda Woolverton.

Performances will take place on Thursday, Nov. 3; Friday, Nov. 4 and Saturday, Nov. 5. School Matinees will be at 9 a.m. and noon on Nov. 3 and 4. Student tickets are $2.00 and adult tickets are $5.00. One teacher per class and the bus drivers will have no charge. New this year, a Saturday Matinee will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, with a cost of $5 for children 12 and under, $8 for adults. This performance will be followed by a "Meet the Cast" event. Evening shows will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4 and Saturday, Nov. 5. Cost will be the same as the Saturday Matinee.

In addition to the regular performance, a "Beast's Buffet" will take place at 6 p.m. Saturday, November 5 in the SCC Cafeteria with advanced reservations only at an additional cost of $10 per person. The menu includes Roast Beef, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Winter Blend Vegetables, Glazed Carrots, Caesar Salad, Roll, Black Forest Mini Cake, Tea, Coffee and Water.

Another event to attend will be "Breakfast with Belle" at 9 a.m., Saturday, October 29 in the SCC Atrium with advanced reservations only and limited seating. On the menu will be Pancakes, Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, Fruit, Milk, Juice and Coffee. The cost for this event will be $5.00 per child (12 and under) and $8.00 per adult. This cost includes a free picture with Belle. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
