Clothing, Food and Blood Drive
Shawnee Community
College will host an American Red Cross Blood Drive 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.,
Wednesday, September 28. The drive will be located in the SCC gymnasium
located on the main campus near Ullin. SCC sponsors American Red Cross
Blood Drives throughout the year, but special emphasis this year is
on the disaster relief in the South. This year, the SCC Student Senate,
Phi Theta Kappa and Phi Beta Lambda student organizations are sponsoring
a clothing and food drive in conjunction with the American Red Cross
Blood Drive. Area residents, students, faculty and staff are encouraged
to donate blood, clothing, canned goods, and personal items. Special
needs items include socks, t-shirts, undergarments and toys. For more
information, contact Jeff McGoy, SCC Recruitment Specialist, at 618-634-3353.
