Sam Goldman, Chancellor at Southern Illinois University Carbondale Tours the New SCC Anna Center

Dr. Larry Peterson, president of Shawnee Community College, hosted Sam Goldman, chancellor at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, on a tour of the college's new extension center in Anna Monday afternoon. Peterson and Goldman also discussed proposed partnerships between the two institutions, including a partnership to offer an associate of applied science in aviation science leading to a bachelor's degree in aviation technology at SIU. An open house of the new extension center has been scheduled for March 22 from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.

Dr. Larry Peterson, president of Shawnee Community College; Sam Goldman, chancellor of Southern Illinois University Carbondale; Don Rice, interim provost and vice chancellor of SIUC; Paul Sarvela, vice president for academic affairs; and Guy Alongi, chairman of the Illinois Community College Board, participated in a tour of the new Anna Extension Center Monday afternoon.
