Two Saints Recieve Mid-West Athletic Conference Awards

The Saints Jonathan Griffin was selected to the 2008 MWAC Team. This team is voted on by the coaches in the Mid-West Athletic Conference. Jonathan was voted to the 2nd team and has been invited to participate in the Region 24 All-Star Game in Chicago on March 22nd. Griffin’s MWAC statistics were 14.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.0 assist, 2.9 blocks, and 2.9 steals per game. He also recorded 10 double doubles in conference play.

Brandon Anderson was selected as Honorable Mention to the 2008 MWAC Team. Anderson was one of five freshmen that received votes. Anderson had and very good freshman campaign scoring a career high 44 points at conference rival Lincoln. Anderson led all freshmen in the MWAC in scoring with nearly 18 points per game, connecting on 46 three point field goals, shooting 37% from behind the arc. In the MWAC Anderson averaged 17.5 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.3 assist per game in fifteen games.
