Naomi Salley, currently a member of the Student Support Services Program at Shawnee Community College, was recently awarded the Single Parent Scholarship. To receive this scholarship, a student must have completed 30 credit hours, be active in the Student Support Service program, have the highest GPA, and be a single parent.
Naomi is a resident of Ullin, IL, where she has lived there most of her life. She is a 1999 graduate from Century High School. After many college attempts, and trying to hold down two jobs and raise a son, she decided to move home and attend Shawnee Community College, where she is currently enrolled in the LPN Program. Naomi plans to graduate in summer 2007.
SCC Foundation President Darryl Clark congratulates Naomi Salley on her award.
