Fall Registration Blitz Dates Set at Shawnee Community College

With just a month to go until fall semester classes begin on August 18th, Shawnee Community College is planning a fall registration blitz. The idea is to set aside a specific days where students can come in, complete testing, sign up for classes, meet with financial aid staff and obtain other information necessary to his or her registration.

Each SCC location will host a blitz day from noon until 6 p.m.: Cairo Extension Center, Monday, July 26th; Anna Extension Center, Tuesday, July 27th; Main Campus, Ullin, Wednesday, July 28th; and at the Metropolis Extension Center, Thursday, July 29th. Enjoy hot dogs and chips and complete your registration to be entered into a drawing for one of four $100 SCC bookstore credit vouchers. Students who need to meet with a member of the financial aid staff should call 634-3200 and select option 2. Testing will be available and should be scheduled prior to 3 p.m.

Shawnee Community College offers classes in the traditional classroom setting, distance learning, telecourses, and the increasing popular on line setting. Not sure on a program of study? Sit down with an advisor and discover options in computer forensics and investigations, forensic science, video production, health care, massage therapy, and automotive technology. In addition to the these special registration events, registration is open at the main campus and all centers Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with extended hours on August 16th, 17th, 18th, and 19th until 7 p.m. Complete registration services, including the bookstore will be open on Saturday, August 14th from 8 a.m. until noon.
