The Saints traveled to Champaign, IL to face a Parkland team that they beat once and lost to in overtime during the regular season. Both teams came out of the gate slow, but heated up as the game progressed. Shawnee trailed by two points at the half 36-34.

Shawnee and Parkland were in a tight contest through out the second half. Jonathan Griffin grabbed 9 of his 12 rebounds in the second and was really active on both ends of the floor. "Griffin was really good down the stretch and Anderson made some big shots also, but we were really energized by the play of Stanley Johnson. He came in and gave us a spark defensively and also knock down some big shots."

Saints managed to take a three point lead with three minutes left on the clock. Parkland regained the lead and paraded to the free-throw line to seal the game.

Shawnee shot 10-14 from the free-throw line for 71%. Parkland shot from 33-45 for 73%. Shawnee finished the season with a record of 11-19.

"I am very proud of these guys effort. They faced unbelievable challenges this entire year and they continued to compete and battled through adversity. It’s a shame that the season had to end like this."
